Youth

Note: For the duration of the pandemic, all middle school and high school activities will remain online.
Youth Group
Our youth group for grades 9-12 meets monthly to connect and engage with each other and the world through spiritual discussion and formation, fellowship, and social justice work. And each year there are field trips and adventures like tubing down snowy mountains, museum exhibits, ice skating, and bodysurfing after Church on the Beach.
Service Projects
Each year our youth take on a service project dealing with a major world issue. Recent projects include: focusing on water and raising enough funds for Episcopal Relief and Development to build a clean-water well in a developing nation; immigration activism, providing support for arriving Syrian refugees through the Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Service; and helping provide emergency supplies locally for victims of the wildfires
Sundays
When worship takes place on campus, middle-school and high-school age youth meet for Faith in Film to watch and discuss contemporary films through a “Kingdom” lens to discover how God’s story is (or not) being told. The group puts the action on screen in conversation with scripture, church tradition and their own experience. The morning closes with the youth joining family and the rest of the congregation in church for communion.
