If you are interested in exploring what healing prayer is and is not, please join us on the third Saturday of September—the 16th −at 8:00 a.m., and on the third Saturday of the months following, as we read and discuss Healing in the Landscape of Prayer by Avery Brooke. We will meet at the church (room to be decided later), and will try to stick to our usual 9:30 a.m. end time so that we have plenty of Saturday left for other activities. (Current members who pray with fellow parishioners at the chapel rail will also continue to meet on the first Saturday of the month.)

We hope that eventually you will want to join in the important ministry of praying with others, but you need not commit to that responsibility at the beginning. Initially, the goal is simply to learn more about healing prayer, and we will read probably two short chapters in preparation for each month's meeting. Prayer for healing—of ourselves and others—is fundamental to our Christian lives; we pray not only for physical healing but for healing of relationships, behaviors, for whatever "harms us," as one prayer says.
