For All Souls Day

Many of the items we use in our worship have been engraved and presented to the Altar Guild in memory of our friends and relations. On All Souls Day, we would especially remember: Mary L. Hampton, John and Mary Menn, Sue Lew Lime, Mary A. Pitts, Fred and Marie Kergerris (1949), Evington Foote Sharling (1959), Nova Swartz (1963), Percy Minshall (1892 – 1934), Katherine Mary Matthew, Diana Rasken (1962 – 1943), Daniel E. Shackman (1900 – 1961), Katherine Davenport Treichel (1888), Sanford Anderson (1927), Horace Melville Dudley (1907 – 1914),the Rev. Herbert Bowers, D.D., the Confirmation Class of Spring 1957, and John Barrett (1858 – 1934), and Anita Wacker (2001).

If you would like to give an item for worship as a gift or in the memory of someone dear to you, please speak to Hartshorn or Laura. There are many things we need: such as bright brass candlesticks for the Chapel (the current ones are splitting), a frontal (cloth that hangs to the floor at the main Altar) in red for the first Sunday in Pentecost, a new white brocade festival set: frontal, chasuble (a type of coat worn by the priest to celebrate mass) and stoles for holidays, weddings and funerals. And there is more…
