Ministry Fair by The Rev. Pat Hendrickson The Diocese of Los Angeles will be presenting the annual Ministry Fair on Saturday, March 27th. Once again it will be held at Campbell Hall, 4533 Laurel Canyon Blvd., in North Hollywood. Check in is at 8:30 AM with classes running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A display outlining the workshops being offered along with sign up sheets are available at the tables outside the south transept. We have a limited number of booklets so if you decide to take one home to browse, please return it to the table the following week. You may also find and download the information on the Diocesan web page: www.ladiocese.org and click on the link to Ministry Fair 2004. A wide variety of workshops are being offered covering such subject as Christian Formation, Spirituality, and Worship as well as workshops addressing specific ministries and discernment. For those involved in any form of youth ministry, if you have not done so already, you should attend the Sexual Misconduct prevention workshop. If you feel called to join the ranks of Lay Eucharistic Minister or Lay Eucharistic Visitor please speak with a member of the clergy before signing up. We will register as a congregation and plan to sit together at lunch. Brandy Bierne will be heading up our delegation this year. Please note that you may order a sack lunch ahead of time, or you may bring your own. There are additional sign up sheets on the patio for needing a ride and for those will to offer rides. Application forms along with checks made out to St.Augustine-By-The-Sea are due by March 7th. Please mail in the applications, attention: Pat or place check and application in an envelope and put them in my box. I would encourage all who can to attend. The Ministry Fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what is going on in the Episcopal Church and to share ideas and struggles with Episcopalians from throughout the Diocese.
