St. A's Goes to the Mountains October 3-5, 2003 by the Rev. Joyce Stickney This fall will be the third annual Parish Weekend where St. A's goes to the mountains (Camp Stevens in Julian). Some of the highlights last year were playing in the tree house, exploring the silver mine, singing songs led by Hartshorn ("Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes"), planning the worship service, watching children of all ages play together, being in a naturally beautiful place, and eating delicious food. This year Chuck Almdale will be joining us and will lead a bird watching tour on Saturday. There will be activities for all ages as well as the usual camp traditions; smores, campfire, singing, scavenger hunt, crocquet, sleeping in bunkbeds, and more. If you are interested in coming, please sign up on the patio on Sunday or register by calling the church office (395-0977). The fee includes 5 meals and 2 nights ($100/adult, $50/child, 2 years and under are free). Please speak to Hartshorn or Joyce if you need financial assistance. (for those desiring a private room (6 beds), the fee is $450). Any questions? Please contact Elissa Tognozzi or Joyce Stickney.
