The list of candidates for St. Augustine's discernment for rector was joyfully received by the Committee Chair at the Office of Deployment on Friday, January 14. A comprehensive information packet for candidates was then mailed to them on Friday, January 28. Cover letters in the packets asked for candidates to send back by February 18, specific information requested by the Committee. To best serve the process, the Committee will compile notebooks containing information from the diocese, the candidates, and the committee's notes. We will then digest and review this information at a Committee Retreat, and in discussion and prayer discern those who are best fitted to our parish profile. These candidates will be asked to journey further with us through telephone or Skype interviews.

We are grateful that during this transition, the process has not been rushed or compromised by fear. It is neither fallow nor lost time. Rather, our faithful congregation continues to define the direction and development of our parish ministry and understanding of who God is calling us as a body to become. We acknowledge that it is the invitation of the holy spirit that leads us in our discernment for rector, and that is how we will recognize who God has called to us in partnership.
