Are You New to St. A's?

by The Rev. Joyce Stickney

You are invited to attend our Newcomer's Class Friday evening, March 5th through Saturday afternoon, March 6th. A parishioner recently asked me if there was a book he could read to learn more about the church - the stations of the cross, why and when people bow in the service, the significance of the vestments, etc.... this was all new for someone from a Presbyterian background. I didn't recommend a book per se but this class! The Anglican/Episcopal Church has a rich history and is steeped in symbolism, tradition, and mystery. We pack a lot into an evening and a day of instruction, conversation, worship, reflection, touring, and jesting. If you are new to St. A's and/or interested in becoming a member of this parish, this class is for you. Please sign up on the patio during coffee hour to attend, or speak to a member of the clergy.
