December 5-6, our clergy and delegates (Tom Royer, Liesel Friedrich, and Caldwell Williams) will be joining clergy and delegates from all over the diocese in Riverside for our annual convention. Members are elected to various diocesan committees, reports on a host of ministries are given, resolutions are discussed and voted upon, and the budget is approved (or amended). The opportunities for fellowship abound as well as those for "religious" shopping and learning about a range of ministries in the exhibition hall. The resolutions put forward this year concern the following: the Diocese of Los Angeles entering into a companion relationship with the Diocese of Belize and continuing our companion relationship with the Diocese of Mexico; Continuing to support the mission and ministry in the Diocese of Liberia; and directives to the Task Force on Clergy and Lay Compensation to revise the 2003 Clergy Compensation Guidelines to include lay employees and try to rectify the imbalance of clergy compensation in parishes in lower economic communities.

Please hold our delegates and clergy in your prayers as they participate at convention and represent St. A's.
