The NYA Gifting Tree

by Susan Amlotte

Want to make someone really happy this Christmas? It's easy and here's how! Please help provide holiday gifts for the children and their siblings involved in the Neighborhood Youth Association (NYA). NYA is a community-based social service agency and diocesan institution that addressed the needs of troubled youth and their families from low-income, and "working poor" areas in the West Los Angeles and Venice areas.

Look for the "Gifting Tree" in the entranceway of the church. Each ornament on the tree has the name of a child and their Christmas wish. Select an ornament, purchase the child's wish, wrap the gift, and tape the ornament with the child's name on top of the package. Bring the wrapped gift to the St. Nicholas Festival, Dec. 8th or to church on Sunday, December 15th. NYA will be having their Christmas Party on December 19th and the children will receive their gifts at that time.

Thank you for brining joy into the lives of these children!
