Divine Chocolate Bars The Kuapa Kokoo cooperative represents 45,000 cocoa farmers in Ghana. The farmers participate directly in the decisions made by the organization and share in any potential profits. The growers receive above-market Fair Trade premiums for their cocoa beans which they process and send on to Germany to be made into chocolate bars. The co-op also funds community development projects like wells and schools. SWAZILAND

The Eswatini Swazi Kitchen generates employment for women who make jams, chutneys, and marmalades and is a part of an organization that is addressing both the roots and the impact of severe poverty in Swaziland. Pure Maple Syrup In northern Minnesota, the Anishinaabekwe (Ojibwe) people grow and produce traditional native foods. Native Harvest provides jobs for tribal members and promotes traditional foods and works to preserve cultural practices, encourage sound land stewardship and promote sustainable development of their community. Their programs include classes in the Anishinaabekwe language, food and energy self-sufficiency, and preservation of traditional crops that are used in the schools and in their "Good Food" program for the elderly, which combats malnutrition and high rates of diabetes. Extra Virgin Olive Oil Sindyanna of Galilee was established as nonprofit organization in 1996 to work with the Arab population in western Galilee. Founded and managed by women, Sindyanna's uniqueness is that it works in partnership with Israelis and Palestinians, and that it combines commercial activity and community work.
