The workshops will be led by Marie Howard, who has worked closely, in a variety of leadership positions, with Fr. Thomas Keating and Contemplative Outreach, which he founded in 1984 as an ecumenical network of faith communities committed to the restoration of the contemplative dimension of the Gospel. Centering Prayer is the method by which this process is initiated and sustained.

Centering Prayer is rooted in Jesus' teaching, was refined by early Church Fathers, and practiced widely by the Mothers and Fathers of the Desert. It predates all schisms within Christianity and transcends doctrinal differences.

This Silent Prayer gradually transforms and heals our relationship with God, with ourselves and with others. Centering Prayer is designed to help discover what is preventing us from the interior freedom needed to reach more deeply into the love of Christ within us and to manifest it more fully in the world.

There will be a sign-up sheet out on the patio after Sunday services.
